Description[]

The tower is the home of Vanity, and serves as her home base as well as a prison structure for the souls in Hell that fall under her dominion. The structure resembles the watchtower of a castle, and juts above the surrounding area, giving her a commanding view of the region. The tower is located on the Plains of Hell, relavitely halfway between the Necropolis and The Devil's Cave, which is in the center of Hell.

The tower is built above a massive holding tank in the form of apartments/hotel rooms buried in an underground tomb, each imprisoning souls trapped partially between life and death. Aecas, a demon that is loyal to Emily, has worked to imprison numerous people in this vast chamber and help draw power from them.

VanityApartments

Aecas flies through the massive apartment blocks filled with Vanity's prisoners.

The tower is capable of focusing the energy from these souls via a mirror that Vanity has in her chamber at the top of the spire. She has demonstrated an ability to alter reality when manipulating the mirror, which causes the laws of Hell to be rewritten and alter people's appearences. Because of Vanity's fickle and narcissistic nature, she's not able to truly control this power, only randomly chaning things as she angrily lashes out at her appearence and causes changes via mood swings.

Prisoners[]

The souls trapped beneath the tower are kept in a semi-mummified state, slowly rotting and decomposing until bony husks. Many of them are stuck this way for years, only being able to escape when given long-term divine intervention.

Strategic purpose[]

Due to the tower's cosmic powers, it's an ideal target of conquest for Kane as part of his coup in Hell. Parties on both sides believe the tower's ability to alter reality can be used to open Hell up and give it access to areas of creation that are normally outside the reach of denizens of Hell, such as Purgatory and Heaven. As such, it makes for an ideal strategic target for Kane and a necessary defensive strongpoint for Jack and his confederates.

VanityRefuge

Jack looks to use the tower as a refuge and base for his rebellion.

Vanity is currently an unwilling compatriot of Jack's, unwilling to defy him, she reluctantly must allow him and the members of his rebellion as well as his angel allies access to the fort.
