Ever since the year 2000, Jack has been available on various mediums. The following is a brief list of the history of the comic's presenation.
The humble beginnings[]
Angry Brian was the very first Jack story created by David Hopkins, and was first posted on Fanarchive.net in late May/early June in the year 2000. This was followed in early November of that year by the second story, Trixi and Tet. These stories were also posted on additional art gallery sites such as VCL. Shortly after the positive feedback for these stories, work began on creating a recurring comic series setting with these characters.
Keenspace[]
Jack officially launched as a comic series on March 2, 2021 on the website Keenspace. This would be the main home for the comic through February 2004. During it's time on Keenspace, the site was subject to several breakdowns due to Keenspace server issues, as early as January 2002. A further crash of the Keenspace server in January 2004 convinced Dave to move the comic to a more stable location.
Pholph[]
Dave moved the comic to a new server, Pholph.com, where would be more stable and have less hosting drama with his friends Cecil and Ryan Dewalt hosting the comic. This became the main hub for the comic for the next 14 years. The comic forum also shifted during this time from EZBoard to phpBB.
The website remained in service until November 2018, after which it was shuttered.
Downloads[]
Following the end of Pholph, the comic was available as a downloadble zip file, covering the comic from Arc I: Fnar the unborn until Arc XLVI: In The Beginning.
ComicFury[]
In September 2020, Darkwing Dude approached David Hopkins about posting the comic on ComicFury. The comic was soon available by Oct. 10th of that year with all the existing stories from Pholph, and beginning later that month new stories started posting. Also new to the archive are stories not originally part of the online archives, such as print stories and other bonus arcs.
