Jack reflecting on his handiwork
Jack is Bangsian furry comic created by David Hopkins. The story universe takes place in both the near and far future, as well as the afterlife. The story primarily focuses on Jack, a former rabbit dictator whose punishment after death is to serve as the sin of Wrath and collect the souls of the recently deceased.
God created the heavens and Earth, with the assistance her angels, including Lucifer. When he rebelled against his maker and was expelled from Heaven, God continued with their plan, creating humanity on Earth.
Sometime in the 21st century, genetic engineering resulted in the creation of humanoid animals, starting with Jack. He was soon joined by others from dozens of genetic labs around the world, some based on living animals, some cloned from extinct species and some unique forms created based on fantasy and science fiction. Jack, upset with the abuse he suffered, eventually led a rebellion against humanity resulting in the extinction of humanity. He died in the nuclear fire, and was sent to Hell where he now resides.
When the nuclear dust settled, furs were driven back into a pre-industrial dark ages, and eventually rebuilt society thousands of years later with no memory of their true origin, instead believing they were the original sentient species on the planet.
It's in this world that Jack now acts as grim reaper, collecting the souls of the dead and taking them to the afterlife. He must contend with the forces of Heaven, who assist him or fight him depending on his actions, other demonic beings in Hell as well as lost souls. As he slowly regains his memory, he must deal with the weight of his actions as well the torment it places on his soul.
