Arc XXI: Saving Arloest Arc XXII: My Mind Returns To Miller Hill

Plot[]

An unnamed fox is in Hell, telling the story of his wife and how much he loved her and always forgave her. He says he would hold her tightly if he saw her again. He's confused at the end of the first page, breaking the fourth wall to ask the audience where the "TTFN" sign is.

The second page is similar to the first, only now the fox's language begins to become more condeming of his wife, calling her a whore and a slut. He says he forgave her every time, cryptically adding "except that one time", and that if he gets his hands on her, he'll choke the life out of her. After crying and breaking down that his wife said she loved him, he breaks the fourth wall again, angry the "TTFN" sign is still missing.

The third page starts as an exact duplicate of the second page, but after a few moments all the letters in the word balloons begin to vanish. The words "Die You Fucking Slut!" flash on the screen and the fox, in the middle panel, desperately asks the audience "Did you see something just now?" His panel slides to the left to left to reveal his dead wife, which is tries to cover up by pushing the panel back to cover her. He says he loved her and cries "why did she do this to me?" The screen begins to flash showing her dead body and angry words plus his hand holding a bloody knife, suggesting he murdered her for being unfaithul.

Trivia[]

  • The third page features Flash animation, and originally on Pholph had a button to pause the animation cycle.
  • David Hopkins had originally planned to have a short bit of "Midnight, The Stars And You" (made popular by its use in the movie "The Shining") playing at the end of the flash animation but that made the file size much too big.
  • As Adobe Flash has been deprecated and is no longer installed on most browsers, the current version on ComicFury has been converted to an animated gif. The conversion was done by Fiona.
