Fnar is wearing Mr. Smith as a hat while admiring what he thinks are some flowers. Farrago is visiting Hell when she stumbles on Fnar, who remembers her from the events of Arc IV: Falling Angels. Mr. Smith is distrusting and tries to warn Fnar away from talking to an angel, but Fnar and Farrago strike up a friendship that disgusts Smith and evetually drives him away.
Fnar and Farrago discuss Jack and his relationship to Fnar, Farrago's missing wings, and Fnar's upcoming rebirth, which he is ignorant about. They part on good terms. Meanwhile, Mr. Smith has alerted Farrago's presence to Bob, who takes an interest in why an angel would be interested in Hellbeasts.
